JERRY J & California Flight

For over 10 years with California Flight, Jerry “J” Johnson has proven to be one of the most in-demand and creative musicians in the San Francisco Bay Area. His unique versatility as a vocalist, pianist, composer, lyricist, and producer carry over to his wide array of music styles which range from R&B to jazz, to neo-funk to blues-rock. The end product for Jerry “J” is an eclectic mix of styles presented with an incredible warmth and alluring rhythm.

Jerry “J” began his music career in his home town of Pittsburg, CA where he studied music and was soon after recruited to tour with various music greats including Marvin Gaye, Frankie Beverly & Maze, Curtis Mayfield, The Whispers and the O’Jays. Both his experience in the music scene and his studies have brought forth musical compositions which have won local awards and recognition. Jerry “J”, well known for his diligence and dedication to music, life and his faith, continues to perform locally in the SF Bay Area and tour internationally with California Flight, which is now on its 4th album release, California Flight IV, Project Hope.
